The undulant shape of the Sunbird Floor Lamp is achieved by rotating wood on a machine to carve its outline. This process requires great skill, as the wood must be manipulated at 90-degree angles to create both the smoothness of the surface and the knottiness of the shape. The tan lamp sits atop a metal base in a brass finish and is topped with an off-white shantung shade.
